Last week, Nisha Dhawan, Country Director for EMpower in India, spoke at a panel on ‘Intergenerational Insights from Women in Development’ as part of Arthan‘s webinar on ‘Building Inclusive Organisations’. This panel aimed to bring together women in development with varying years of experience to shed light on how gender dynamics in the development sector have evolved over the years and what can still be done to reach the level playing field.
The objective of this was track to broaden the scope of discussions around diversity and inclusion, particularly highlighting under-representation in the development sector on the basis of gender, location, disability, etc.
Ranu Bhogal from Oxfam India and Sharon Buteau from LEAD at Krea University also spoke at the panel which was moderated by Deepak Dogra from Room to Read.
*Arthan is a socially responsible company that creates a bridge between organizations and people looking for jobs, with an inclusive hiring lens in place to enable diversity and equal opportunities in the true sense of the term.*
