EMpower’s Senior Program Officer for East and Southeast Asia, Gritt Richter, was on the ‘Pledge for Parity’ panel yesterday evening hosted by the National Australian Bank in Hong Kong discussing how to advance gender parity and to empower women in communities and business.
Gritt spoke about how EMpower and our grantee partners are transforming the world for girls and young women, by breaking with gender stereotypes and successfully changing norms limiting girls:
“EMpower believes that girls and young women can overcome barriers and transform the world they live in. Therefore it is imperative that our grantee partners’ programming takes into account the specific barriers girls and women face.”
Other panelists included Jessica Tilton, Head of Markets for NAB, Geoff Wilson, COO at KPMG Asia Pacific, and Gautam Dev, Chief Human Resources Officer at Eastspring Investments. The panel was moderated by Angelina Kwan, Managing Director and Head of Regulatory Compliance at Hong Kong Exchange and Clearing Limited.
Many thanks to the National Australian Bank for inviting EMpower to participate in the energetic panel discussion!
